These handy little eco friendly filters are light enough to pack when going away and give you back the flexibility of teabags when using loose leaf tea. For added convenience, you can heat seal these bags (an impulse heat sealer is best, but you can also use an iron or hair curler), especially useful when going away as you can make up several bags at once and keep them until needed.
Size 1 - Small: Regular Mug or Cup size. (Filter size, approximately 130mm x 65mm)
Size 2 - Medium: Large Mug or 3 to 8 cup teapots. (Filter size, approximately 180mm x 85mm)
Size 3 - Large: For 6 to 12 cup teapots. (Filter size, approximately 200mm x 100mm)- Easy to use and dispose of - fully degradable.
- Long Filling Tongue and Heat Sealable for extra convenience
- Allows you to use your favourite loose leaf tea or ground coffee 'on the go'.
- Each filter holds enough tea or coffee for 1 large mug or a 1-2 cup teapot.
- Can also be used to hold herbs or spices when cooking.
Simply spoon in your chosen tea.
Fold the long tongue over the edge of the cup/teapot and pour on your hot water.
Remove and set aside once the tea is brewed.
You can set it on a saucer, spoon or even hang it over your sink - whatever works best in your kitchen.
To Heat Seal with a Household Iron:
Simply spoon in your chosen tea and shake or tap it to the bottom.
Lay the long tongue flat on a heat resistant surface.
Set your iron on low heat and press it for a few seconds once ready - aim for the top, so you can cut and reseal if desired.
Leave to cool for a moment as the area can retain heat.
Check that is has sealed effectively, depending on your equipment, you may need to adjust the heat, pressure or duration.
If the bag sticks to the iron, try reducing the heat, or use parchment paper (baking paper) to create a non-stick barrier.
