Cranberry Rose Sencha
Country of origin: Hunan Province, China
Caffeine content: Low
Antioxidant Level: Medium
Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Dairy-free, no added sugar
Prep: 1 heaped teaspoon of tea. 75-80°C for 2-3 min
Description: Tangy cranberries and sweet raspberry pieces infuse in harmony with green Sencha leaves and delicate rosebuds for a truly invigorating drink. This tea is also wonderful in the summer over ice.
When preparing by the cup, this tea can be used repeatedly - about 3 times. The secret is to use water that is about 82°C. Place 1 slightly heaped teaspoon in your cup, let the tea steep for about 3 minutes and then begin drinking - do not remove the leaves from the cup. Once the water level is low - add more water, and so on and so on - until the flavour of the tea is exhausted. Adding milk and sugar is not recommended.
Serving Suggestion: Liza likes this tea plain. Adam adds a few drops of agave syrup. For iced drinks brew as for hot but use more tea leaves to make a more intense flavour since it will be poured over ice and diluted with cold water.

Gorgeous tea, well balanced, not flowery, and not too sweet! My current go to No1 favourite. Some flavoured tea tastes too artificial, but not this one!

After buying this tea at a pop-up shop in Durham, I have tried it both hot and cold! I must say it is delightful as both. Whilst I expected the tea to be on the slightly bitter side due to the cranberries and the green tea itself, I was pleasantly surprised that the tea was perfectly balanced. The smell of this tea is very uplifting with slightly fruity notes, but mainly smells rosey! One of my new favourite green teas!
