A perfect take on the absolute classic, this black tea sourced from Ethical Tea Partnership tea plantations in central Sri Lanka is the perfect start for a relaxing afternoon. Hand blended and packed by our Tea Enthusiast team in County Durham, UK, this blend uses the finest organic bergamot oil from Italy which gives a beautiful citrusy taste. The bergamot orange is a type of aromatic citrus fruit that is usually grown in the Mediterranean. Bergamot oil is extracted from the skin of the bergamot fruit, we have been sourcing ours from the same farm for over a decade.

We also add blue cornflower petals for a floral hint. Pairs well with savoury foods and sweets, especially scones and biscuits! Vegan, Gluten-free, Dairy free and sugar-free this tea can be enjoyed without milk and sugar, or with your favourite additions.

Earl Grey tea is the most British of drinks. So much so that its alleged namesake is the British Prime Minister of the time. There are several apocryphal tales as to how and why Earl Grey came to be named after a British Prime Minister, was it in thanks for removing the monopoly of the East India Company on importing tea from China? The mystery surrounding the origin of this tea only adds to its allure.

Earl Grey can also be used in baking and cooking. See our BLOG for more ideas - just click here. We also have several other versions of this tea including Cream, RoseDuchess (like lady), Lavender, Rooibos and Decaf

Serving Suggestion
Carol enjoys hers with a spot of milk, Liza likes a sliver of lemon. For iced drinks either cold brew overnight or brew as for hot but use more tea leaves to make a more intense flavour.

Great cup (or two) of decaf tea

What's not to love, great flavour, decaf and plenty of it! Another fantastic purchase from tea enthusiasts, I can't wait to try more of their decaf range.

Good quality & service

Regular purchaser of Tea Enthusiast teas and this earl grey decaf is best I've tasted. Superb quality. My daughter in law loves it too and bought the caddy as gift.
