Description: Oolong means semi-fermented. They are allowed to ferment only until the edges of the leaves start to turn brown. The tea is then fired which stops the fermentation process and captures the intriguing character notes. The best China Oolongs come from Fujian Province - in the Wuyi Mountains area since Fujian province is the historical 'birthplace' of China Oolongs. Which is exactly where this one comes from!

Oolong Tea generally has higher antioxidant levels than standard black teas and is frequently used in Chinese medicine. It is reputed to raise your metabolism naturally as the tea leaf is thermogenic. For weight management, it is recommended to drink three times a day as part of a controlled diet. Also, see Pu Erh teas for slimming.

Serving Suggestion: This tea can be infused several times for a different flavour in every cup. Liza likes the first brew, Carol prefers the third. For iced drinks either cold brew overnight or brew as for hot but use more tea leaves to make a more intense flavour.
