Liquorice Root
Description: Pure liquorice root is highly sweet when brewed and is delicious mixed with other herbs (Peppermint & Liquorice being a very popular blend, also some prefer to mix with Spearmint, as that already has a sweet character). The sweetness comes from a natural compound called glycyrrhizin, and is not from sugar. Liquorice root is commonly used for soothing sore throats and comforting digestive distress.
Serving Suggestion: Adrian loves this extra strong, and is often seen brewing a double strength 50/50 mix with Ginger Root during cold season for what he calls a "fiery throat-soother"
