Peppermint and Liquorice Loose Leaf Tea
Country of origin: Washington State, USA and Fayyoum, Egypt.
Caffeine content: naturally caffeine-free
Antioxidant Level: Medium
Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, Dairy free, Sugar-free, No artificial colours or flavours
Preparation: 1 heaped teaspoon of tea. 100°C for 5-7 minutes
Description:
Cool, refreshing peppermint meets naturally sweet liquorice root in this simple but striking herbal blend.
Brew it for around five minutes for a fresher, peppermint-led cup. Leave it a little longer and the liquorice becomes richer and more prominent, adding depth and a lingering sweetness without added sugar or flavourings.
It is naturally caffeine-free and can be enjoyed hot or cold. Its versatility makes it ideal for both hot or iced tea and it makes an excellent cocktail ingredient when you need to add a little extra punch to your Gin or Vodka.
Contains liquorice – people suffering from hypertension should avoid excessive consumption.
Serving Suggestion: Kat likes to add a tiny bit of honey to hers and Adrian likes to drink this cold. For iced drinks either cold brew overnight or brew as for hot but use more tea leaves to make a more intense flavour.
Customer reviews
Refreshing.
I am trying to avoid caffeine after 2pm; this provides me with a refreshing and delicious drink at 4-5 pm.
I am also trying to do Prof Tim Spectors 30 different plants a week, and of course this will count as two of these.
The flavour of the loose tea provided by The Tea Enthusiast is far better than two tea bag versions that I have tried from French supermarkets.
