Description: Pu-Erh tea is famed for its medicinal properties and its delicious earthy flavour. During the 1200s the troops of Kubla Khan are said to have introduced Puerh to the rest of China for its medicinal value. Pu-erh is often taken for relief of indigestion and other tummy troubles but has also been reported very useful in the reduction of cholesterol. A study in Japan showed that all tea lowered cholesterol but Pu-Erh was more effective than even green tea. Unfortunately, most studies have been conducted on animals so far but with all the health benefits we already know about tea combined with the health benefits of the probiotics we know are in Pu-Erh we know we are on to a heath winner.
Serving Suggestion: This tea can be infused several times for a different flavour every cup. Liza likes the first brew, Carol prefers the third. Adam likes this tea with milk and one sugar. Not recommended for iced drinks.
